Dr. David Hoy is a licensed psychologist, author, and a certified professional coach. He is the founder and President of David Hoy & Associates, a Minnesota-based Clinic of Counseling, Psychological, and Coaching Services. David Hoy & Associates started out in 1997 with just a handful of clients. The company has since grown to include 85 practitioners and administrative staff providing services to adults, children, and families throughout the twin cities and greater metropolitan area. Dr. Hoy earned his PhD in education with a specialization in training and performance improvement from Capella University. He holds a master’s degree in counseling and psychology from St. Mary’s University and a bachelor’s degree in speech and communication from the University of Minnesota. David believes strongly in holistic approaches to over-all health and well-being and strives to create a mindfulness culture at work. To this end he hires yoga instructors who provide classes three times a week for employees.

MarDee Rosen Hall, MA, LP – Clinical Director

MarDee is the Clinical Director at David Hoy & Associates. She holds a Master of Arts Degree from Saint Mary’s University in Minnesota, and is a licensed psychologist. She provides outpatient therapy for clients, and supervision for therapists, unlicensed mental health practitioners, and interns. MarDee has been providing therapeutic services to children, families, and adults for over 20 years. She has extensive training in EMDR and Gestalt therapy. Her experience includes: working in schools with children, families and school staff, providing in-home therapy to families, and out-patient therapy to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. MarDee’s clinical specialties include working with: survivors of trauma and abuse, depression, anxiety, chemical dependency, ADHD, parenting issues, and family conflict.

Sandy Hoy, MBA – Chief Financial Officer

Sandy has been the Chief Financial Officer of David Hoy & Associates since 1999. She is Co-Owner with husband David since 2000 and they just celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary. Sandy holds a Master of Arts degree in Business Administration from Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with a minor in Spanish. She manages all business-related activities including Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Operations and Human Resources. She has over 40 years of extensive and varied experience, working in the fields of computers, medical devices and healthcare.

Kathy Wolfbauer, BS – Director of Operations

Kathy has her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Before joining the team at David Hoy & Associates, she enjoyed 10 years working with adults with developmental disabilities. At DHA, Kathy works on maintaining compliance with established regulations, conducting intra-agency audits, managing client health records, and creating a welcoming, comfortable space for the DHA team and our clients.

Nicole Recke, MBA – Human Resources & Billing Manager

Nicole holds her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Argosy University, and has a Bachelor’s degree in Community Health Education and a Minor in Psychology from the University of Minnesota, Duluth. She joined the team at David Hoy & Associates in 2014 as an Administrative Assistant and her role has organically evolved over the past few years into the Human Resources Manager. Nicole spends the majority of her time managing the client referral lists, keeping up with staff credentialing and insurance information, and manages the Administrative Assistants. Outside of work Nicole enjoys spending time outdoors and being with her friends and family.

Kathy Lathem – Financial Manager

Kathy joined David Hoy & Associates in January 2008 as a part time employee responsible for billing claims and applying insurance payments. As the company grew, the position transitioned into a full-time job in 2012 and she was promoted to Finance Manager reporting to Sandy. Kathy enjoys doing her work from home, which her Golden Retriever, Sunnie is also happy about! Outside of work she enjoys traveling with her husband and spending time with their grandchildren, 3 adult sons and their spouses.

Jessica Jenkins, MA, LPCC

Jessica is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. With a passion for listening to others’ unique stories and genuinely caring nature, she has provided therapeutic and skills services for people of all ages, from early childhood to late adulthood. Jessica’s particular interests lie in play therapy to help children cope with trauma and other stressful life events. Other specialties include providing a safe and supportive environment for those struggling with grief and loss, anxiety, depression, anger and other maladaptive behaviors, low self-esteem, and adjusting to the many unique and challenging changes that life can bring.

Kendra Boblett, BA

Kendra has her Bachelors in Fine Art from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA. She joined the Administrative team in October of 2020 and enjoys the open and caring environment David Hoy & Associates provides. Kendra uses her compassion and love of helping others to assist new and current clients with their needs. Outsides of the office, she spends her time working on her own creative projects and enjoys hanging out with family and friends.

Haley Kasen, BA

She started working for David Hoy and Associates in December of 2021 and is excited by the opportunity to assist clients and staff.
