She holds a Masters of Social Work, with a specialization in working with immigrants and refugees, from the University of St. Thomas. Rachel has a passion for working with adolescents facing a variety of challenges such as: trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, homelessness, and the complex stressors felt by families of immigrant and refugee backgrounds. She believes that while young adults are often surrounded by uncertainty, they have the power to decide where their life goes. Therefore she sees therapy as a collaboration, with the client taking the lead and coming as their true selves.

She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2022.
Leona is extremely passionate about mental health because of her own journey with anxiety and depression. Her personal story of growth and empowerment is a motivator to show others that they can do the same. Her approach involves promoting mindfulness, emphasizing strengths, and fostering a healthy support system among other things. Her goal is to empower, validate, and encourage clients to promote their self-efficacy. She believes every client has the power to take control of their lives and create the best version of themselves. When it comes to her therapeutic style, she loves to incorporate humor and sarcasm because sometimes laughter is the best medicine! Leona looks forward to working with every client she gets and appreciates the opportunity to help them.
