Michelle Schmid-Egleston, MA, LP
Michelle has been a psychologist for the past 25 years. She has worked in both outpatient and inpatient mental health settings, primarily with adolescents in residential treatment programs. For most of her career she has worked with children (6-12 years of age), adolescents (both males and females), young adults and older age adults. Her approach is holistic and person centered. She feels that a strong therapeutic relationship is important for therapy to be helpful and healing. Her training has focused on working with clients who have experienced trauma and serious mental health concerns in their lives. Michelle has worked with clients who have experienced significant trauma, family dysfunction, addiction, serious mental illness, and other disruptive life events.
Michelle’s areas of expertise include: trauma work, EMDR, group therapy, family therapy and individual therapy. She has worked in the field of addiction for many years including substance abuse and other addictive behaviors. She also has experience in assessment with children and adults. Michelle is seeing clients both in person and through telehealth at this time. She is open to setting up an initial consult to determine what your needs are for therapy and if she is the best therapist to meet your needs.
