Play Therapy
Play is the language of children and toys are their words. Play, the natural mode of expression for children, is used each day to express emotions, thoughts, and experiences. Play therapy uses this developmentally appropriate and very approachable mode of treatment to allow children to work through what is troubling them and move towards healing.
Trained play therapists assist children in expressing themselves with toys, pretend play, and through metaphor with greater ease than “talk” therapy allows.
