Zamire Lazu Marquez, Intern

Zamire Lazu is currently in her master’s program to obtain licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Counseling and International Relations from Crown College. With experience in various roles supporting individuals’ well-being such as working as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), interning with at-risk middle school students, and providing outpatient therapy, she is dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the mental health field.

Zamire is passionate about providing compassionate and effective support to those in need. In the therapy room, she brings strong communication skills and fosters a compassionate, caring environment. She is fluent in Spanish and deeply committed to working with the Hispanic and Latino population.

Her professional approach is influenced by Bowen’s family systems theory, particularly the multigenerational transmission of differentiation of self. She also integrates psychodynamic theory, recognizing the importance of early interactions and their influence on development.

Understanding that seeking help can be challenging, Zamire is committed to building genuine, trusting relationships with those she supports. She provides an environment of empathy, empowerment, and honesty, helping individuals navigate their personal journeys.
