Jon Jepson, Intern
Jon is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Touro University. He comes from a strong background in education, mentorship, and supporting young adults and adolescents from diverse backgrounds. His experience working in local classrooms providing one-on-one academic support has strengthened my ability to build trusting relationships, identify conflicts, communicate with empathy, and adapt to each individual’s unique needs and learning style.
He has supported individuals facing emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges, including those with learning disabilities and EBD-level needs. These experiences deepened his interest in emotional well-being, family dynamics, and helping individuals feel understood and supported in difficult moments. He values patience, authenticity, and creating a calm, welcoming environment where people feel comfortable expressing themselves. His approach is grounded in compassion, active listening, and recognizing the strengths each person already possesses. He is interested in an array of therapeutic techniques that aim for solutions based on each person’s unique, individual needs.
As he continues his journey toward becoming a Marriage and Family Therapist, he hopes to support individuals, couples, and families in resolving conflicts, building healthier relationships, improving communication, and navigating life’s challenges with greater confidence and connection.
