Alli Wilson, Intern
Alli is a counseling intern in the master’s program at the University of St. Thomas. She focuses on creating a supportive space where people feel respected, heard, and understood. Her approach is collaborative and rooted in empathy, with a strong emphasis on building a trusting relationship. Alli believes real growth happens when people feel safe to explore their experiences, challenges, and strengths and she also believes therapy doesn’t always have to feel heavy to be meaningful. Alli has a particular passion for play therapy and enjoys using creative, engaging approaches to help clients express themselves, build insight, and feel more at ease in the therapeutic process. She works with children ages 6 through young adults, as well as adults, tailoring her approach to meet each person where they are developmentally and emotionally. Alli strives to make therapy a space that feels approachable, interactive, and even fun at times, while still honoring the depth of each client’s experiences. She enjoys helping people understand how past experiences may shape current patterns, while also building practical tools for confidence, connection, and emotional processing. Outside of the therapy room, Alli enjoys playing tennis and pickleball, being creative with art, and spending time outdoors. She values balance, curiosity, and kindness, and works to carry those qualities into both her personal and professional life.
