Ashley Bauman Burr, MA, LPCC
Taking the step to pursue therapy can be overwhelming and intimidating. Ashley’s number one goal is to create a supportive, comforting, and validating environment for the individuals she is privileged to work with. Ashley has been working with David Hoy and Associates since the summer of 2017. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, both from the University of St. Thomas. Her strengths and experience include working with children, teens, individuals, and families with diverse ethnicity and a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Ashley’s understanding and care add to positive outcomes when working with topics such as ADHD, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, depression, divorce, eating disorders, family conflict, gender identity struggles, navigating life transitions, relationship issues, parenting struggles, sleep difficulties, trauma processing, and integrating coping skills into daily life. Ashley believes a therapist’s role is to support individuals through processing how past events, personal characteristics, and relational dynamics bring insight into current challenges. Additionally, Ashley utilizes holistic methods of therapy that helps guide her clients to learn to cope and adapt through varying life circumstances. Her goal is to support her clients to live life to the fullest and navigate whatever life has to offer.
