Brooke DeWitt, Intern

Brooke is a counseling intern currently pursuing her master’s degree and working toward licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). She has a background in education and has spent several years working with children and families as an elementary school teacher, tutor, and nanny.

Brooke takes a person-centered and relational approach to counseling and values creating a space where clients feel safe, heard, and supported. She especially enjoys working with children, teens, and families and is drawn to play-based and experiential approaches that help clients express themselves in ways that feel natural and meaningful. Brooke believes strong relationships are an important part of the counseling process and strives to help clients feel comfortable being themselves.

Her background in education gives her a unique understanding of the challenges many children, teens, and parents face. She enjoys supporting clients through concerns related to school stress, peer conflict, emotional regulation, self-esteem, and navigating school systems and supports. Brooke also values collaborating with parents, teachers, and other professionals to help support children across all settings.
