Sam Beck, Intern

Sam is a part of our Fall 2024 intern team. He is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Counseling and Psychological Services at Saint Mary’s University, and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Iowa State University. Sam has years of experience as a youth worker – both as an advocate working with children and families impacted by various forms of trauma, as well as a behavior intervention specialist in an elementary school. Sam uses a client-centered, collaborative, and integrative approach with clients, and believes at the heart of healing is relationship – to others, to the world around us, but most importantly the relationship we have with ourselves. Sam prioritizes building trust with clients and their support systems, and also believes in incorporating humor and fun in the therapeutic setting when possible. He is passionate about walking alongside people in their individual journeys and empowering them along the way.
