Stacy Nielsen, MS, PsyS., NCSP

“If you want to improve the world, start by making people feel safer.” This quote by Stephen Porges sums up Stacy’s approach to providing therapy. Stacy strives to create a safe environment where clients can discover themselves, uncover their own answers, and recognize the gifts they bring to the world. Stacy believes that each person is the expert on their own life and is committed to helping clients access the wisdom, strengths, and insight they already possess. She believes that You are the expert on you; and is there to help you access the expertise and wisdom you already possess.
Stacy is client-centered, and focuses on emotions and nervous system regulation and awareness. Her special areas of interest include trauma, adult child healing, low self-esteem, codependency, aging parent issues, anxiety, and female empowerment. Populations she has special experience with are struggling adolescents, adults who work in the education field, and parents who are finding it difficult to raise their intense children. She has Nurtured Heart Approach and Safe and Sound Protocol certifications, and prior training as a school psychologist.
