Tanner Whitmore, Intern
Tanner is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling at the University of St. Thomas Aquinas and is working to become a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). He earned his undergraduate degree from University of St. Thomas, where he developed a strong foundation in biology, psychological theory, and interpersonal relationships. His approach to therapy is collaborative, strengths-based, and grounded in the belief that each individual has the capacity for growth, resilience, and change. He strives to create a supportive environment where clients are able to explore their experiences, better understand themselves, and work toward their personal goals.
Tanner works with adolescents and adults navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress, and relationship challenges. He draws from person-centered and cognitive-behavioral approaches, while also incorporating mindfulness and insight-oriented techniques to help clients build awareness, develop practical coping strategies, and strengthen their sense of self.
In his free time, he enjoys going to the gym, walking his dog, and playing pickleball.
